The US Secretary of State, John Kerry, declared that the main condition for lifting the sanctions of the US and EU to Russia is the full implementation of the agreements signed in Minsk.
John Kerry, at a press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, declared that: "If and when these agreements will be fully implemented, it is quite clear that at that moment the lifting of sanctions of the United States and the European Union may begin".
John Kerry has also expressed the hope that "friends and allies" of the United States will play a role in helping the implementation of the agreements Minsk. He also said that the cease-fire in the south-east of Ukraine, indicated by the Minsk Agreement, has not yet taken place. "Regardless of who makes the first shot, in any case, the cease-fire called for by the Minsk Agreement does not stop. It did not happen," - he said after talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"We're trying to work with all parties to achieve the implementation of these agreements. I want to say that President Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reiterated that they seek to implement the agreements Minsk. And we talked about how we can speed up this implementation and how to dispel distrust on both sides"- said the head of US diplomacy.
US Secretary of State John Kerry called among immediate steps to resolve the conflict in Ukraine ceasefire in Shirokino. "Today I talked about what steps can be taken by the parties in the coming weeks and days. We believe that a genuine ceasefire in Shirokino to happen," - said John Kerry.
He also said that demilitarization, elimination of heavy weapons and OSCE monitoring are not less important.
The US does not advice or support Poroshenko to renew military actions.
John Kerry has warned the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko from the resumption of military actions on the territory of Ukraine. According to him, Washington would be "very concerned" by such actions.
